project Details
Hodges Construction assisted in the development and structural engineering efforts to design and construct this 6,000 sqft. grocery store expansion and interior renovation.
Extensive soil studies and initial design were required to develop the best foundation option for this facility due to existing conditions. The new addition is a pier and beam foundation with conventional steel framing construction. Modification to the existing roof structure were required in order to support the new equipment. In addition, we also encountered a frozen area of soil underneath a freezer with compromised the foundation and needed to be removed. Maintaining continuous store operations played a major role in all design and engineering considerations.
